For our fine motor opening activity, we did a cut, glue, and color puzzle that made a flamingo. We practiced the letters a, d, and g with our fingers in the air, saying out loud what steps we were doing (“magic c, up like a helicopter, bump” etc.). We completed the workbook pages for those letters plus some sentences. Finally, students had free choice of hands-on activities with letters.
