About Deborah
I am happy to be joining ATEAM this year. I have been a language arts teacher for the past twenty-five years in various venues: five years as a full-time language arts teacher in the Los Altos School District, ten years as a private writing consultant, two years as a vendor for Ocean Grove, etc. I have a BA in English Education and an MA in English with an emphasis in adolescent folklore. I have a current CA language arts teaching credential and a CA history teaching credential coming Fall 2023. I am the mom to four great kids, ages 9 to 17, who have four unique learning styles. They have been my best instructors on how to be a better and more effective teacher. Adjacent to my mom and teaching life, I enjoy good books, good chocolate, and traveling near and far.
