Camille is a passionate and experienced educator with a heart for inspiring young minds. She joined Kidizens as a Lead Counselor in the summer of 2021 and has been leading a variety of classes, workshops, and camps ever since. Camille holds a Psychology B.A. from the University of California, Merced, where she also pursued research in child cognitive development.
Having attended a progressive education school from K-8th grade, Camille is a true believer in the idea that there is more than one “correct” way to learn. She is a strong advocate for play- and project-based learning, knowing that these approaches are backed by child developmental cognitive science, and helps children develop creativity, peer collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Her approach to teaching is grounded in trust, kindness, and understanding. Camille is deeply committed to creating an engaging and supportive environment where every child feels valued and empowered. By fostering a love of learning and exploration, she helps children build confidence and approach problem-solving challenges with a positive mindset.
Through her work, Camille strives to guide children toward both academic growth and personal confidence, empowering them to take on any challenge they face with creativity and enthusiasm.
