Claire Suttle

As a homeschool parent, I love creating interdisciplinary unit studies for my children that include science, history, art, crafts, stories, math and more. I’m excited to be bringing some of those units to A-Team!

Even before homeschooling, I’ve always found a way to teach – after tutoring reading, math, and coding in high school and college, I began teaching dance classes, eventually earning an industry recognized teaching certification. I’ve taught dance to kids and adults of all ages, and ran a successful local arts education business for 15 years. During this time I created curriculum and taught dance, drama, visual arts, and other creative programs through local schools, preschools, and community centers.

While we started out on a preschool/public school path, I always supplemented their learning at home with Montessori style learning so the transition to homeschool came very naturally to us in 2020. We haven’t looked back! My children started attending ATeam a couple of years ago and I started leading science sessions in our co-op. I recently started teaching dance classes again and teaching at ATeam feels like a natural progression.

I hold a BS in Computer Science, Dance Masters of America teaching certifications in ballet, tap, and jazz, and child development units.
